In the wake of the recent tragedies in our country, I want to bring light to a topic that should never be overlooked. Displaying real AUTHENTIC LOVE can pierce the heart of anyone, and we should view each other through the lens of love.

Recently, I heard a message on the power of connection through relationships. We were created to be in relation to each other regardless of our skin color. As a nation, we can be more creative, produce more inventions, grow economically and be a better society when we open our hearts and become united.

It takes a person with AUTHENTIC LOVE and true character to step outside of their comfort zone and be the difference in the lives of others, even when that person does not look like you.

Last weekend, while shopping with my wife at a local department store, me and a few other gentlemen were sitting outside the dressing room while our wives tried on clothing. The other men were of different ethnic groups, and there was no one making small talk. I made a conscious effort to connect with each of them by engaging in light conversation about our wive’s clothing.

It didn’t matter that we were all from diverse backgrounds; we laughed, joked and exchanged our shopping experiences. It was the one of the best times I’ve had in a long time while shopping.

Just like the color pallets in a crayon box aren’t complete without all the colors, we are a diverse people who wouldn’t be complete without our different colors. We should LOVE and treat each other the same. Imagine what we can do, if we remove the biases and LOVE AUTHENTICALLY.

Open your hearts and minds to a new perspective and discover the gifts, talents, personalities of all the shades of human beings. Be the change you want to see in the world.

Love you guys, see you next week….
