If you talk to a counselor, psychiatrist, doctor or individuals in the customer service industry, they will tell you that developing excellent LISTENING skills is the key to success. One must LISTEN in order to determine a diagnosis.
As you grow in your personal relationships, if you really want to know what’s in someone’s heart and mind, take a step back, be quiet and LISTEN to them. Parents can give sound advice, fiends can add their two cents, but the truth most likely comes from the horses mouth. So, WHO ARE YOU LISTENING TO????
People enjoy talking about themselves, so give them their fifteen minutes of fame. I’m not talking about putting your interpretation on someone’s words or thing about what to say next, but pay attention to what is really being said. It will give you valuable insight.
Having the ability to LISTEN is developed over time. Maturing this skill takes patience, determination and humility. One important factor to remember-remove your emotions, open your heart, ears and mind.
In closing I ask, “WHO ARE YOU LISTENING TO????”
