Imagine having the kind of relationship or marriage where you can be totally transparent without fear of being judged or criticized. This type of freedom is rarely seen in couples today. People spend a lot of effort looking for perfection in people that we totally dismiss the imperfections which are a part of our makeup and completely intertwined to make us who we are.
Developing the ability to have real conversations in a civilized manner can be the greatest asset in your relationships. So many times, we try to be so politically correct that we lose the AUTHENTICITY of ourselves and our message. In the middle of a heated exchange is not the time to be tactless, but we must be honest and true.
In my marriage, there are days that I get it right and others where I mess up royally. Please learn from me; be an AUTHENTIC you. When two decide to allow their relationship to maturate and have TRUE AUTHENTICITY, the bond between them will grow stronger than ever; and they truly become one.
